All children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1, Nursery – Year 2, will receive a free piece of fruit or vegetable for snack at playtime as part of the Government’s scheme to promote healthy eating. Please let us know if your child has any allergies to any particular types of fruit. No other food type is permitted for break time apart from dried fruits like sultanas, apricots etc. Please do not send biscuits, chocolate, sweets, crisps, nuts etc. Thank you.
Children in Key Stage 2, Years 3-6, do not receive free fruit or vegetables unfortunately, so if they wish to bring a snack please send fruit, peeled vegetables or dried fruit. Many thanks.

Be Sun Smart!
In the light of the increasingly hot weather we are experiencing during the summer terms we felt it an important part of our commitment to healthy schools to develop a policy to protect staff and pupils.

The meals are £2 per day (if a child has dinners 5 days a week) or £2.10 per day if they just have odd days. (We ask that a minimum of 2 meals a week are taken.) Our aim is to increase uptake further so that two thirds of the school are eating a healthy hot meal at lunchtime. We are always looking for ways of improving the service, and consequently, uptake – and would encourage parents and children to provide feedback on the service via the website communication portals.
