Religious Education
We follow the Oxfordshire RE syllabus. Children are taught a broad balanced curriculum, which "promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils." Whilst a study of Christianity forms the main component in the programme of study, the children learn about Judaism and Islam as two other major world faiths. The RE curriculum is relevant to the needs of a multi-cultural society so that they understand the beliefs of others. Parents have the right to withdraw their children from RE sessions and are asked to inform school at the beginning of the academic year, in writing, if they wish to do so.
