Chalgrove & Watlington Children's CentreWhat is a Children's Centre?

Surestart Children's Centres are an important part of the government's 'Every Child Matters' strategy to improve outcomes for young children. They are one-stop shops providing information and a range of services for families.

Centres provide activities in a safe, supportive and fun environment for young children (primarily underfive years), with their parents - including dads! - grandparents or carers. Parents-to-be are welcome too.
Chalgrove & Watlington Children's Centre
Chalgrove & Watlington Children’s Centre has two hubs based at Chalgrove Primary School and Watlington Primary School. Our aim is to serve these villages and the surrounding area stretching from Nettlebed to Adwell.

We will be out and about too, visiting surrounding villages. We work with local providers by signposting existing activities, providing a venue and complementing what is already happening within the community.

We have been working closely with parents to find out what people need and when. Their thoughts are at the heart of our programme.
